FUTA VC Bags Award

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA Professor Adenike Oladiji has bagged the most outstanding Vice Chancellor of the year from the Publishers of Ondo State’s leading publication , the City Movers magazine. The honour according to the publication is in recognition of her sterling contributions to higher education in Nigeria and immense contributions to the Federal University of Technology Akure and positioning the university as a foremost research-intensive university. She was presented with the prestigious award at the award ceremony held on the 5th of November 2024 in Akure.
In his remarks at the ceremony , the Editor -in-Chief, City Movers magazine, Bayo Adediran said " Professor Adenike Oladiji has kept faith with the promises and gains of her focused leadership are already clearly discernible with appreciable progress in all facets of university life. Professor Oladiji with a keen sense of dedication to duty and pragmatic leadership style is certainly sustaining the legacy of excellence, FUTA is known for and breaking new frontiers. FUTA has continued to thrive and hold its own among the committee of universities both at the local and global stage making it an academic destination of choice and a citadel of excellence ".
The Vice Chancellor ,who was represented by the Chairman, Committee of Deans and Dean School of Environmental Technology, SET, Professor Isaac Aje expressed gratitude on the award describing it as a propellant that will enable her to move the university to even greater heights.
She commended the efforts of the staff and students of the university adding that it is through their collective efforts that FUTA has become the best university of technology in Nigeria today.
